Woman Who Walk are hosting a walk with doula Maryam for new mums or mums-to-be, who’d love to join a community in support of women in their motherhood journey. 

Meet at 10am for a 10.30am departure at the Silver Palate. We’ll be walking through Verulamium Park and will adapt the walk to suit our attendees.

This walk offers a gentle walk at a relaxed-pace designed to support expectant or new mothers who prefer a more intimate setting.

During the walk Maryam will be on hand to answer any of your questions around pregnancy, preparing for birth and early motherhood – holding the space for women to connect, share or simply walk quietly in the company of others. 

Distance: Around 4km.

We’ll finish at a the Silver Palate to grab a coffee for those who fancy it.

Every walk is different – the route, the people, even the weather – but what stays the same is the welcoming, easy-going environment. Come solo, bring a friend, or even your dog!

However you show up, you’re sure to leave with great conversations and new connections. Over 18? You’re in!

• How do I join a walk?

  To join a walk, simply register via the CLIQ app or use the booking link provided under each walk event on our website.

• Where can I find details of upcoming walks?

  Walks are announced in CLIQ, then shared on our website Events page and socials.

• Where are your walks located?

  We currently walk in St Albans (Hertfordshire), Guildford (Surrey), Cambridge and Brighton.

  Interested in starting a group in your area? Register as a Volunteer and we’ll be in touch.

• How often do you walk?

  Each location hosts two walks a month, unless extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances change our plans.

  If that happens, we’ll swap in a social event instead! Follow us on our socials for any last-minute updates.

• How far do you walk?

  Walks are usually 7–8km, but the distance varies depending on the route.

  In the future, we’ll be hosting walking trips, hiking adventures and even walking holidays. Sign up to our newsletter and be the first to hear about it!

• What should I wear?

  Check the weather before heading out! If it’s rained, err on the side of caution and wear appropriate footwear and bring a waterproof. 

  We carry a small first aid kit, so if your boots are new, do bring some plasters. You’ll thank us later!

• Can I bring my kids?

  Our walks are for over-18s only to keep a steady pace and give women space to switch off and connect, though babes in arms (carriers or slings) are welcome.

• Can I bring my dog?

  Friendly, well-socialised dogs are welcome! Just bring a lead as some routes pass livestock. Be mindful that not everyone loves dogs – check in before letting yours say hello!

• Do I have to pay for the walks?

  Yes. We have introduced a number small fee of £3.50 to support with admin and running costs.

• When do I need to register by?

  You can register once you arrive at the walk, we just need to have scanned you in to ensure safety of everyone at the event.

• Can I go to any of the locations to join a walk?

  Yes, just sign up under each event and at the location you wish to join.

• Can I come alone?

  Yes, so many of our women come solo. You will be greeted by whoever is running the walk and everyone is super friendly, often most of our women have come alone.

• Can I cancel my ticket & get a refund?

  No, unfortunately there are no refunds for cancelling your ticket.
  
  If the walk is cancelled by Women Who Walk then you can redeem your ticket at another walk event.
